Quick answer
Treat a combat synergy as a two-step test: one operative creates an advantage and a second operative converts it. Steam explicitly presents combat synergies as part of Zero Company’s squad system. The listing does not publish every combination or guarantee a permanent best pair, so test the interaction in the mission where you need it.
A small synergy experiment
- Name the encounter problem: a priority target, blocked position, exposed teammate or missed objective.
- Choose the first ability that should change that problem.
- Choose the follow-up operative and record what the first action makes possible.
- Keep the rest of the squad and difficulty stable for one comparison.
- Record the mission, displayed ability text and result.
The value of the synergy is contextual. An interaction that solves a crowded position may not be the right answer for a single target. This is why a mission job is a better anchor than a tier-list label.
Use the next page in the route
Start with Tactical Abilities if you do not know what the first action should do. Use Squad Combat for the broader turn sequence. If the interaction depends on a custom operative, read Character Customization.
Keep exact claims gated
The official store page does not establish damage, range, cooldown, trigger condition, unlock level or mission-specific guarantee for a synergy. Those details need current release-client evidence. Do not copy a creator’s preferred combination as an official default, and do not infer an interaction from two ability names alone.
