Quick answer
Use a small loop: check survival pressure, choose one nearby task, gather only what it needs, craft or repair the next blocker, then return and record the result. The official Steam page supports survival, exploration, gathering, crafting, repairs and combat. This broad loop is safer than borrowing exact thresholds or a full route from a different build.
The five-step loop
- Check: read oxygen, temperature, inventory and current objective.
- Choose: name one resource, object or station task.
- Collect: take the smallest useful set of inputs.
- Solve: craft or repair the item that unblocks the task.
- Return: store results and decide the next task from what changed.
For the first survival pressure, read Oxygen and Temperature. For a recipe/resource blocker, use Crafting and Resources. For a damaged system, continue to Tools and Repair.
Keep experiments small
Do not change route, inventory strategy, tool choice and station at the same time. A small experiment tells you whether the new action solved the blocker. If a patch changes a survival value or resource behavior, update the affected task rather than every page in the loop.
What current evidence does not establish
The public store description does not establish the exact first-30-minute route, resource yields, survival thresholds, chapter order, repair costs or best craft sequence. Those details require current-client evidence.
Return to beginner survival
If the loop still feels unstable, return to Beginner Survival and reduce the next trip to one clear question.
